Nancy Holtzman, RN BSN IBCLC CPN
Nancy has over 25 years of professional nursing experience and is a mother/baby nurse educator, a board certified lactation consultant and board certified pediatric nurse.

Nancy is the original creator of the Great Beginnings New Mothers Group and for ten years, led a successful private practice in the Boston area for new mother and breastfeeding support. In 2003, Nancy joined several others and brainstormed and ultimately opened Isis Maternity, which later re-branded as Isis Parenting. Her Great Beginnings New Mothers Groups remained one of the most significant offerings at Isis over the next ten years, ultimately reaching 15,000 mothers and newborns in thirteen locations spread across the country. After ten years and 50,000 families, Isis Parenting closed its’ doors in 2014.

Nancy presents and writes nationally on maternal child health topics including new parent adjustment, infant care and development, infant and toddler sleep and breastfeeding.  She has served on the board of MLCA (Massachusetts Lactation Consultants Association) and participated in the MA Special Legislative Commission on Postpartum Depression and the Massachusetts Perinatal Quality Collaborative.  At the MIT Media Lab, Nancy served as inaugural Lactation Consultant guide and judge for the Make The Breastpump Not Suck Hackathon, now three years strong.

Nancy and Colby 10 wksNancy is the mother of two awesome young adults and lives in San Francisco and Boston with her husband and a rescued Bichon Frise.  In her role as VP of Clinical Content and Online Learning at Isis Parenting, her weekly live webinars gathered an international following.
